The term indubitable, which comes from the Latin word indubitabĭlis , refers to that which cannot be doubted. The verb doubt, for its part, refers to mistrusting something or someone or not deciding on one thing or another.
The indubitable, therefore, does not accept doubts since, due to its characteristics or properties, it is reliable, precise, exact or certain. For example: "The expert was able to demonstrate in an indubitable way that the young man was murdered" , "We still do not have indubitable information on this matter, so for the moment we will not express ourselves in this regard" , "An indubitable pronouncement of the president on the climate of violence that exists in the country ” .
In addition to those indicated, other words that act as synonyms for indubitable are undoubted, undeniable, unquestionable, unequivocal, evident, true and sure. On the contrary, among the terms that function as their antonyms are deniable, doubtful, questionable, uncertain or debatable.
Suppose a man reports that, upon entering his home, he found his wife dead by his bed. According to the husband's version, the woman had blood on her head, for which he assumed that she had fallen and hit. However, the autopsy shows that the victim had a bullet in the neck. Due to the place of impact of the bullet, the position of the body and the absence of gunpowder in the hands of the deceased, the forensics confirm without doubt that the woman was murdered- There is no chance that he committed suicide or died in an accident. From this revelation, the husband becomes the main suspect, since there were no traces of violence in the house, no valuables were missing and the doors were not forced.
In the field of law we have to establish that the term at hand is also used. Thus, for example, they talk about what are indubitable proofs. These we can establish that they are tests that give a result that leaves no doubt, that is unquestionable and totally safe.
In the same way, reference is also made to the so-called indubitable documents. Of these we can emphasize that they are the ones used to be able to make the comparison of letters or signatures contained in other documents, whether they are public or private.
On the other hand, religious people and, specifically, those who have the Bible as a reference in their lives are clear that it comes to reveal various proofs that establish that the existence of God is indubitable. Specifically, they consider that among these tests one stands out in a special way: that of the creation of the Universe.
In addition, in the editorial field we can highlight that there are several works that use the term in question in their titles. This would be the case, for example, of "Indubitable", which was published in 2012 and is the work of Michael Alvis, who collects in this work some of his best artistic photographs.
